Incentive Travel
What is incentive travel?
The dictionary defines an incentive as a motivating force; however, a far better explanation is a modern management tool used to accomplish uncommon goals by rewarding the participants an extraordinary travel experience upon attainment of their share of the uncommon goals.
Why do organizations offer incentive programs?
All people are motivated by money. But how many sales people would remember their exact sales figures for 1999? Probably not many. Now ask yourself this: How many people would remember what they did on their seven-day incentive cruise trip to the Caribbean in the same year?
It's no mystery why incentive programs work. Finding a way to link an individual's self-interest with a company's goal is what incentives are all about. Many incentive programs offer merchandise or cash awards, but travel is recognized as one of the most popular and powerful motivators, in large part because of the memorability factor. A fun, exciting trip tends to take up permanent residence in one's psyche and spur winners to repeat their performance level for the next contest.
Incentive programs not only motivate employees; they can be used to build loyalty among distributors. Remember distributors have a choice of buying from many dealers. Why not add some excitement and give them a reason to choose your product?
Investment in incentive programs is exceeded by greater return. To find out more information about how to offer a travel incentive program contact Cheryl Lovely at World Travel today at 610-970-4006 or 800-341-2014 ext. 4006 or clovely@worldtravelinc.com.
