WORLDVISION/GDSX

World Travel utilizes an automated quality control software package called WorldVision/GDSX that works in unison with our Global Distribution Systems (GDS).  Combined, they provide a highly sophisticated state-of-the-art reservation system, which gives us direct access to domestic and international travel resources.   This latest WorldVision/GDSX release revolutionizes the industry with Internet generation technology and a completely “open” design architecture that allows for maximum flexibility and complete system customization.  The capabilities and modules are as follows:

SEAT MODULE

The Seat Module works continuously to assign, check and change travelers preferred seat assignments.  This module includes every conceivable seat preference using a sophisticated weighting system to ensure the best seat is booked.  Travelers and travel arrangers appreciate the extra level of attention to client wishes when they see World Vision hard at work behind the scene.

FARE MODULE

Low fares are important to our customers.  The World Vision Fare Module uses every means possible to find a lower fare for them.  It offers many configurable options that can be tailored to client’s needs.   For example, minimum savings, alternate airports, penalty fares, preferred carriers and elapsed time can all be customized to meet individual customer requirements.

WAITLIST MODULE

When a traveler cannot be accommodated on preferred flights or fares, the Waitlist Module takes over the monitoring of general inventory to find the desired booking.  The Waitlist Module repeatedly queries the CRS to clear waitlisted flights by using direct access, and all other special features available to clear waitlists.

COMMUNICATION
MODULE

Often when a better seat is booked, a lower fare is found or an upgrade is cleared, the agent must contact our client, requiring valuable time and decreasing productivity.  By using the Communication Module we may now provide this important information directly to the client either via an E-mail, Fax, or Pager message.

FREQUENT FLYER
UPGRADE MODULE

The Frequent Flyer Upgrade Module automatically upgrades important travelers at exactly the time allowed by the airlines – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

E-CHECKER

World Travel has purchased a module called E-Checker which verifies usage and refunds of electronic tickets.  With an electronic ticket, refunds must be requested since there is no paper coupon for return.  Through E-Checker, electronic documents will be checked for usage seven days after return date.  Thus companies are ensured of total refund control.  Any unused electronic tickets will be entered into the passenger’s personal profile.  This information is available to our agents at time of booking, allowing them a proactive approach with each reservation.  World Travel does not charge additional fees for Electronic Ticket Recovery.
