JetBlue & Travelport Contract Signed; B6 Fares Available through Apollo GDS

After the “Travelport & JetBlue Divorce” in late 2015, Apollo-based travel programs were faced with a sudden and uncomfortable new issue: how to book JetBlue fares.  Many of our clients were long-time JetBlue customers, suddenly faced with extra challenges to book what was always rote reservation.

But we have good news:. Travelport and JetBlue signed an agreement in the early morning of February 11, 2016. JetBlue inventory was successfully loaded into the GDS and is available to book, via agent or online booking tool, with customary ease.

“This was no small issue,” said Dee Runyan, President of World Travel, Inc., “and we immediately made our discontent known to decision makers at JetBlue and Travelport. We were the first call to Travelport when the contract expired without renewal last November. Fittingly, we were also Travelport’s first call when the agreement was signed last night.”

Travelport promised World Travel, Inc. to have inventory showing by close of day on February 11, and true to form, they came through for us and for our clients. World Travel, Inc. Apollo-based clients can now view and book JetBlue airfare via the usual agent and OBT channels.
